About
Ashley Morgan is a researcher and founder working at the intersection of molecular science, infectious disease, data systems and biosecurity governance. With a background spanning international politics, intelligence studies, international and European law, and veterinary medicine, her work combines policy, science and technology to address emerging biological risks.
Her research spans four complementary initiatives. Molecular Precision advances molecular data standards, regulatory science and digital laboratory infrastructure. The BioChain focuses on biological data integrity, provenance and traceability. Noviota develops programmable cellular systems for infectious disease surveillance and digital health. Through One Health Security, she examines how law, governance and public policy must evolve to meet the realities of emerging infectious diseases and global biological threats.

What we are trying to do
One Health Security exists to develop better ways of thinking about the governance of interconnected biological risk.
We identify problems that fall between established institutional and disciplinary boundaries; bring evidence from animal health, public health, economics, law and the social sciences into the same analysis; develop practical frameworks for examining preparedness, response and recovery; and contribute those ideas to wider research and policy discussion.
One Health Security is a publishing and research platform, not a substitute for academic peer review or institutional policymaking.
We do not expect a publication alone to change policy. Our work is intended to support a wider programme of research, collaboration, conference participation and engagement with researchers, practitioners and institutions working on these problems.
